Student Technology Policies

Use of ear buds/ear phones: Except for academic purposes, use of ear buds and ear phones are prohibited from 7:45 AM until the end of the 8 period academic day. For academic purposes, faculty may allow students to use these devices in the classroom or in the library. Homeroom teachers should check with the students to make sure they are using the device for educational purposes. Violation of this policy results in an administrative detention.

Exams: iPads are not permitted AT ANY TIME during the semester exam periods. Violation of this policy results in an administrative detention and may result in academic consequences up to and including a zero on the exam.

Messaging Apps: Messaging apps and iMessage are prohibited during the school day from 7:45 AM until the end of the 8 period academic day. Violation of this policy will result in an administrative detention.

Gaming Apps: Gaming Apps are prohibited during the school day from 7:45 AM until the end of the 8 period academic day. Violation of this policy will result in an administrative detention.

VPNs: Altering the device so that VPNs can be used is prohibited. Violators will receive an automatic Saturday Detention for their usage.
